You are cordially invited to attend the Cape May County NAACP Annual Freedom Fund Gala (fundraiser) on March 11, 2023, at The Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ. The event will begin with cocktails at 5:00 P.M. As a branch of the nation's oldest, largest, and most widely recognized grassroots based civil rights organization with more than a half million members across the world, we further the mission of the NAACP by developing and implementing programs, events and activities in collaboration with other local community leaders which support an underserved population of individuals and families living in Cape May County. Included in our programs, events, services and activities is our scholarship program, annual clothing drive, food distribution, warming the homeless program, Black History Month program, Juneteenth event, community clean-up, Christmas Tree Lighting event and a holiday gifting program for those less fortunate. We hope you will join us and support our annual fundraiser which benefits the recipients and/or participants of these programs, events, services, and activities. Tickets to our fundraising event are $150.00 per person and includes cocktails, dinner program and dancing. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cmcnaacp.org, or from a Freedom Fund Committee member. The guest speaker will be Top TEDX Transformational Speaker, Nate Evans, Jr. and the honorees this year are Capt. Warren D. Judge, Commanding Officer of the United States Coast Guard Training Center Cape May; Reverend Dr. Julia Hankerson, Assistant Pastor Macedonia Baptist Church; and Wilmer "Woody" Woodland, Cofounder of the Cape May Jazz Festival.
