First, take a new guided trolley tour that celebrates Cape May Black history as an essential part of its National Historic Landmark status. Then, visit the renowned Harriet Tubman Museum of New Jersey that tells the story of this hero of the Underground Railroad. Hear how legendary anti-slavery fighter, Harriet Tubman, had a presence in Cape May, as did prominent railroad businessman and former enslaved person, Stephen Smith, whose railroad cars carried hundreds to freedom.
