    The sinking of the Titanic was extremely traumatic to the Victorians, far beyond the loss of prominent lives involved in it. It challenged basic Victorian beliefs and hubris that they were the masters of nature and could mold it to their will. This PowerPoint presentation explores the many impacts of this event on Victorian thinking and culture. Presenter: Dr. Robert Heinly Presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC).
