    Event Description:
Victory in this 1898 conflict made the U.S. a leading world power. There were other reasons why those who fought it thought it was ”splendid”: it was thought to be fought for noble reasons, it was brief, the press endorsed it and it was full of incidents proving God was on our side… and we won. This illustrated presentation reviews this lesser known but highly significant war. Presenter: Dr. Robert Heinly Presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC).
