Gay Gardens Tour

There will be a free, self-guided garden tour, sponsored by "We’re OUT & ABOUT & PROUD in Cape May" on June 1, 2013.  

“We’re OUT & ABOUT & PROUD in Cape May" is inviting the public to a free garden tour of five local gardens. June is Gay PRIDE month and as such, the perfect time to launch the pride in all the many diverse ways the gay community enhances Cape May”, said Ann McCabe, the group’s Founder.   “The tour will begin with registration at 10 am at the Back Corner Café.  Maps of the gardens will be provided, along with discount coupons donated by local shops and business’s including our sponsors Cape Island Home and Garden, Russell Real Estate and TreeHouse Antiques, continued McCabe. 

"We’re OUT & ABOUT & PROUD in Cape May" began in 2011 as a social media Facebook page.  The group also meets up socially and participates in local events such as the 2012 Dragon Boat races and other charitable events.   “We’re OUT & ABOUT & PROUD in Cape May" hopes the tour will give guests a chance to appreciate the many talents and interests that make up the diversity of the local Cape May gay community”, said, Judy O’Rourke.
